Directions to Love Sand – 26 Sheep Pond Road, Nantucket, MA
Hello, and thank you for renting our beach home, Love Sand, located at 26 Sheep Pond Road in Nantucket,
Massachusetts.
Please be advised that due to coastal erosion, a portion of Sheep Pond Road closer to the beach was washed
away. We have since been able to build a new road leading to the house, but unfortunately, this new road is
not currently recognized by GPS.
GPS will get you most of the way there. Once you reach the area, you will need to follow the directions below
to locate the new road.
Directions: From Steamship Authority (Ferry)
1. As you head west on Steamboat Wharf toward Broad Street, take the second right onto North
Water Street.
2. Continue up the hill until you reach Cliff Road.
3. Follow Cliff Road all the way to Madaket Road.
4. Turn right onto Madaket Road and continue for approximately 3 miles.
5. Turn left onto South Cambridge Road.
6. Continue over the bridge and onto Red Barn Road. Please note that Red Barn Road is a dirt road.
7. Follow Red Barn Road until you reach Sheep Pond Road.
8. Turn right onto Sheep Pond Road. This is the old road.
9. Continue until you see New Sheep Pond Road on your right.
10. Turn right onto New Sheep Pond Road. This is the new access road that will take you directly to Love
Sand.
Important: Please do not be concerned if your GPS indicates that Sheep Pond Road is closed or does not show
the final portion of the route. The old road was affected by erosion, and New Sheep Pond Road is the correct
access to the house.
